• Parking: There is an accessible spot when entering Peakes Quay on Great George Street, opposite to Island Beach Co./Billy Timber ice cream. There is also accessible parking available in the parking lot next to Peakes Quay called Confederation Landing Parking Lot, entry from Prince Street.
• Entry and Maneuvering Room: Almost all of the businesses have metal ramps for entry; some have wooden ramps with a small lip (How Bazaar, Tidewater Merchants, Funnels & More, Red Dirt Shirt, Beaver Tails). They are almost all smaller sized, some have more maneuvering room than others, but they are all generally accessible.
• Washrooms: There is one accessible washroom at ground level next to Beaver Tails.
• Entrance: There is no automatic door opener.
• Maneuvering room: It is a smaller but sufficient size. The sink, soap dispenser and hand dryer are a bit high, and there is a small mirror that is at a good height.
• Seating: There are a few accessible picnic tables in the centre of Peakes Quay, as well as by the How Bazaar store.

• Doors: Two doors at entrance, both have automatic door openers. The outside door is a suitable size; however, the inside door is narrow (88cm wide). Small lip on outer door.
• Washrooms: Gender-neutral accessible washroom available, small lip upon entrance, suitable size. There is a door to access the hallway of washrooms that does not have an automatic opener. (They are still under construction, there may be one to come.)

• Maneuvering room: Sufficient.
• Seating: Yes. No marked seating, but lots of tables that only require a chair removed to be accessible. There is no accessible seating at the bar. Table service available for payment.
• Parking: Closest accessible parking is across the street in front of the Root Cellar.

Mersey River Chalets and Nature Retreat, Caledonia

• A big property of beautiful woods and with river and lakes with a number of accessible chalets with good ramps and bathrooms.
• The big log house we were in wasn’t good for bathroom access but we managed.
• The interior space is pretty open for getting around. There are 1–2 km of wooden walkways through the woods and some gravel/dirt paths that a travel buggy motor chair managed very well.
• They have a variety of well-equipped chalets, an open field, playground for kids and an old tennis court.
• Also swimming areas and canoes to use.
• It’s a unique and special place designed and built by a group of folks with accessibility issues as a way of getting all folks out in nature.
