Accessibility statement
Everyone should be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, switches, voice control or magnification.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We check the site with automated testing tools and with keyboard and screen-reader testing.
What we have done
- Text and buttons meet colour-contrast requirements.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first item on every page.
- Each page has one main heading and a logical heading order.
- Images that carry meaning have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- The body text uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for readers with low vision.
- Animations are switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Embedded videos have titles, and map embeds have been replaced with plain links.
Known limitations
- Some older PDF documents and videos from other organizations may not be fully accessible.
- Captions on embedded videos are provided by the video platforms and are not always complete.
